End of Ramadan Henna Party

Assalamu Alaikum all! This Saturday (June 24) at 6 pm, there will be a Sister’s Henna Party at the ISVT masjid iA organized by the Weekend Islamic School. Please bring cash for your henna designs, as the proceeds will go to the Weekend Islamic School, Alhamdulilah. There will also be a potluck dinner, so please come and join us for Henna and our final iftar together!

End of School Year Celebration 

Assalamu Alaikum! This Sunday (May 21) at ISVT we will be having a family gathering and potluck to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year. The program will begin promptly at 11:30, accompanied by nasheed, Quran competition awards, food and community time. All community members and guests are welcome to attend (regardless of having a child or not in the school program). 

Senior Girls Class Bake Sale!

Come support the students from Sister Arwa’s class this Sunday (May 7th) by purchasing some treats at their bake sale fundraiser. Proceeds will go to help fund their end of the year field trip. Selling will take place during school drop off time (10 am), pick up time (2pm), and during mid-afternoon break (12-1240pm). A table full of goodies (cookies, cupcakes, breads, etc) will be set up in the hallway next to the main office. Please come and show your support to the students of this class who have worked so hard this year Mashallah!

2017 Quran and Qiraat Competition Held Tomorrow April 29th at ISVT

A reminder that the Weekend Islamic School of Vermont Quran and Qiraat Competition is taking place tomorrow April 29th at the Islamic Society of Vermont.

The Quran Competition will begin at 11am and the Qiraat Competition will begin at 1:30pm. All competitors will be evaluated on their overall performance on the following: Tajweed, Pronunciation, and Memorization (for Quran competitors).

All participants will receive a Certificate. Trophies will be awarded to those that place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in every category. Winners will be announced during the Weekend Islamic School of Vermont’s annual celebration on May 21, 2017.
